'Peaky Blinders,' 'Project Runway,' and more drop Weinstein credits amidst accusations
October 13, 2017The career repercussions for Harvey Weinstein have started to come in the wake of dozens of women coming forward to accuse him of sexually harassing and assaulting them.
Weinstein’s own company fired him after the reports came to light, he may face expulsion from the Producer’s Guild of America and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and now several popular television shows are dropping Weinstein-related credits from their productions.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, in wake of the allegations Peaky Blinders — a television drama starring Cillian Murphy — is removing a production card for The Weinstein Company from its show. Read more…

The #WomenBoycottTwitter started a discussion on Friday, but women of color are asking: Where was this a few days ago? Or a few months ago?
The boycott started after Rose McGowan was suspended from Twitter Thursday morning for posting a private phone number, which violated the company’s term of service. This, in the rising wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, caused an uproar and many called for the women to boycott Twitter. A large number of users bashed the social media platform for banning someone trying to speak out about sexual abuse, when so many other nasty trolls are left to harass whomever they want. Read more…

There’s a Chinese mobile game called Heroes of Warfare, which takes as much inspiration as possible from Blizzard Entertainment’s hit game Overwatch. A little too much inspiration for Blizzard’s liking.
Blizzard and its Chinese partner NetEase are suing Heroes of Warfare‘s creators, 4399, for infringing on its intellectual property, Japanese news site PC Watch reported today. Blizzard claims that 4399’s Heroes of Warfare and another game that’s already been shut down is too similar to Overwatch, and is calling for a take down.
