'13 Reasons Why' announces Season 2 premiere date with a new trailer

13 Reasons Why is back and, by the looks of the latest trailer, you better be prepared for even more teenage hardships.

The trailer juxtaposes all of the characters lives both before and after the suicide that connects them all. It’s an interesting stylistic choice, and perhaps indicative of the shifts we’ve heard about in terms of the popular but controversial Netflix show’s approach to mature topics in the new season.

You’ll be able to start binge-watching Season 2 on May 18. Read more…

Watch Tesla's Autopilot avoid a swerving semi-truck

Tesla’s semi-autonomous driving mode, Autopilot, did what it’s supposed to do — move the car out of harm’s way.

In a video from last week, a driver in a Tesla Model X was traveling on I-95 in North Carolina when a swerving semi-truck suddenly came into the Tesla’s lane. The electric car automatically moves over onto the empty shoulder to avoid the oncoming traffic, and the driver then proceeds to move into the fast lane behind the truck.

YouTuber Jeremy Visnesky seems to document the live-saving moments in the semi-autonomous vehicle. Visnesky shared another Tesla safety feature coming in handy over the weekend when the car slowed down and beeped to warn about a truck merging into a freeway lane.  Read more…

Here's what happened when Trump asked Bill Gates to be his science advisor

In a March meeting with Bill Gates, President Trump reportedly asked the billionaire philanthropist if he wanted the prestigious job of White House science advisor, a role that’s been left unfilled up to this point.

Apparently, without hesitation, Gates declined the proposition, according to Stat News, which recently sat down with Gates to discuss the rather unsettling possibility of another virulent global flu pandemic. (In 1918-1919, a now common strain of flu killed as many as 50 million people worldwide.)
