Here's how the U.S. government could force Facebook and Google to prevent Russian election meddling
October 19, 2017New legislation is officially on the table that could have big ramifications for Facebook, Google, Twitter, and the rest of the internet.
Democratic Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Mark Warner, with support from Republican Sen. John McCain, have co-sponsored a bill called the “Honest Ads Act” that would require internet companies to keep a public database of who is paying for political ads on their networks. The bill also requires companies to do a better job at policing their sites and preventing foreign interference like what occurred during the 2016 election. Read more…

Over the past couple of years, British hi-fi company Bowers & Wilkins has become quite serious about headphones. With its latest model, the PX, the company became a serious contender in a hot niche: Wireless, noise-cancelling headphones.
B&W replaced its P7 Wireless model with the new PX in early October. I’ve had about 10 days to test them out. In many areas, the PX are among the best in class, but minor nuisances keep them from being perfect.
Wireless, noise-cancelling headphones are an interesting class of product. When it comes to sound quality, they can’t compete with pricey, audiophile headphones (and they never will), but in the last couple of years, manufacturers have found ways to make them sound really good. Read more…
