Truly, nothing says cool like a gang of scooter riding teenagers.

Hundreds of them turned up on Sunday in the city centre of Brisbane, Australia, clashing with police and leading to several arrests. Yes, you read that correctly.

But, look only words can say so much. Here’s the vision of the scooter-induced madness, as per 7 News, who dubbed it “organised chaos.”

Queensland Police said in a statement online the riders were riding dangerously, apparently travelling “the wrong way down the road and were weaving in and out of traffic.” It said the ride appeared to be organised on social media — it’s the fourth instalment of an event dubbed “Street Jam.”  Read more…

This recap contains spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 8, episode 1, titled “Mercy.”

The title for The Walking Dead‘s Season 8 premiere couldn’t be more appropriate; after last season saw our heroes being continually outwitted and oppressed by Negan and his brutal Saviors, this opening hour showed our characters and the audience some mercy, with the forces of Alexandria, Hilltop and the Kingdom banding together to fight back against the bat-wielding bully. 

The triumphant tone of the premiere fulfilled the promise of the Season 7 finale and leveled the playing field between Rick’s posse and the bad guys; ending with the Saviors’ base being overrun with walkers and leaving two unlikely characters — Negan and Father Gabriel — trapped in a trailer with no obvious way out. While you might expect Negan to want to kill the preacher outright (or at least use him as a human shield), it sounds like there’ll be a little more to their storyline in coming episodes. Read more…

Justin Timberlake has been confirmed as the headliner for the Super Bowl LII halftime show — but not everyone is firing the confetti cannons.

Folks haven’t quite forgotten Timberlake’s role in the supposed “wardrobe malfunction” at the 2004 halftime show with Janet Jackson, and how her career took a major hit while his star continued to rise. 

The incident, referred to often as “Nipplegate,” occured when Timberlake exposed Jackson’s breast, which was adorned with a nipple pastie, during the halftime show of Super Bowl XXXVII. The planned nature of the performance was broadly debated, though Jackson’s team said it was “unintentional.” Read more…

They don’t bother this unnamed Queensland cyclist though in a video uploaded by 7 News Sydney, who has a creative — if bizarre way — to ward them off.

On Oct. 22, Outlander finally gave us the reunion that we’ve been waiting five episodes for (which is a while, sure, but definitely preferable to the 20 years that Claire and Jamie had to suffer through). 

“A. Malcolm” was supersized to 74 minutes to give Claire and Jamie (and us) ample opportunity to..ahem… catch up — which was just as well, considering how frequently they were interrupted over the course of the episode. 

The narrative spine of episode 306 — beyond the simple anticipation of Claire and Jamie’s physical reunion — traced their tentative steps back together on an emotional level.  Read more…

Justin Timberlake will be the headlining performer for next year’s Super Bowl LII halftime show.

Confirmed by the NFL on Twitter, the pop singer will take the stage on Feb. 4, 2018 for the halftime bonanza in Minneapolis.

Timberlake also announced the billing in a pretty cringy video with old friend Jimmy Fallon on Twitter.
