Calling all creatives: the City of LA is looking for graphic designers, and they need all the expertise they can get.
The Facebook-verified “City of Los Angeles – Job Opportunities” account posted this stunning call for applications Thursday:
Yes, it’s an actual city government account. Some LA locals were skeptical of the post.
But the City of Los Angeles had the best responses to comments.
They’re so supportive!
The account has had some fun with pun-loaded job postings in the past. Here’s its call for carpenters.
And the ad for city electrical repairers.
Know any designers? Here’s the official job posting – they really do need help. Notice the wildly huge salary bracket though: the job pays anything between $46,000 and $100,000. Read more…

Douglas went on the offensive. In an interview with Deadline, he denied the woman’s account and attacked her.
Now, Hollywood Reporter editorial director Matthew Belloni has published the woman’s side of the story. Susan Braudy, a novelist and journalist, who worked at the production company Douglas founded at the height of his career in the ’80s, accused Douglas of multiple instances of sexual harassment, one of which included him masturbating in front of her. Jeanette Epps, who was set to become the first-ever African-American astronaut to be a crewmember on the International Space Station, will not fly to space in 2018 as scheduled, NASA announced late Thursday.
It’s not clear why Epps was reassigned from her flight. The decision pulls her from her slated mission, which was expected to launch in June.
“A number of factors are considered when making flight assignments; these decisions are personnel matters for which NASA doesn’t provide information,” NASA spokesperson Brandi Dean said via email.
