This line of smart jewelry is the most stylish Life Alert you've ever seen

Wearable tech is a growing market, with new smart rings and other jewelry being added all the time. The latest to join those ranks is Blinq — a line of smart rings currently seeking funding via Kickstarter.

Blinq will apparently alert you to smartphone notifications by a simple flash of light or lowkey vibration. Their most unique function though is a panic switch. 

If you’re ever in a dire situation, you can use a unique, pre-determined tapping sequence to send out a distress message to all of your emergency contacts. Think of it as a way more stylish version of Life Alert. Read more…
