Amazon has released a new Prime subscription deal for college students in the United States. “Prime Student” includes a free six month trial and a subsequent monthly fee of just $5.49, which students can cancel at any time. It also comes with all the same Prime goodies — like free two day shipping and Prime streaming access — as the non-kid table version.
As VentureBeat notes, the offer provides a new way to attract students without the commitment of a yearly package. Amazon also offers an annual Prime Student deal, which costs $49/year.
