Sore winners mock Taylor Swift after the candidate she endorsed loses in midterm elections

It’s one thing to take pride in your party’s candidate winning an election, but it’s another to be an insufferably sore winner.

On Tuesday, after Republican Marsha Blackburn won Tennessee’s Senate race over Democratic candidate and former Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen, fans of Blackburn not only celebrated the victory, but mocked singer Taylor Swift, too. Just a few weeks before the election, the artist publicly endorsed Bredesen for office.

Swift, who in past elections notoriously kept her political opinions to herself, surprised fans in early October by when she urged Tennessee voters to support Bredesen in the midterms. Read more…
