The creators of Sesame Street have lost a lawsuit against The Happytime Murders for the tagline “No Sesame, All Street.” A judge dismissed the case, which alleged that viewers would think Sesame Street had something to do with the R-rated puppet film.
Per EW, Sesame Street‘s case also feared that The Happytime Murders “tarnishes Sesame‘s brand.”
U.S. District Judge Vernon Broderick ruled in favor of Happytime‘s STX Entertainment, which means Happytime doesn’t have to change its tagline with a couple months left before release. Read more…
