The former FBI director weighed in on Friday when the House Intelligence Committee released the memo put together by committee chairman Devin Nunes — a memo that was supposed to blow the cover off of some serious deep state conspiracies about the FBI but, rather, landed with a thud and may have undermined criticism of Robert Mueller’s probe into connections between the Trump campaign and Russia.   Read more…

The release of Black Panther has everyone running around with record-breaking excitement these days, but no one can match the fervor of the kids of Ron Clark Academy. 

The Atlanta middle schoolers were all told that they would be seeing the Marvel film together, and the group immediately burst into dance with so much enthusiasm, it’s impressive. 

“The students just found out we are all going to see BLACK PANTHER!,” teacher and director of curriculum and instruction Wade King wrote on Twitter. “We will have a day of cultural classes, African dancers, historical lessons, and then we will all go see the film! Turn up!!!!”  Read more…

After years of delays and setbacks, SpaceX is finally ready to launch the maiden flight of its Falcon Heavy rocket, which is scheduled for Feb. 6. 

SpaceX has said that the launcher, with its 27 engines and 3 boosters, will be the most powerful rocket currently flying when it makes its debut on Tuesday.

But how does that really stack up?

SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy will be one of the first of a new generation of powerful rockets designed to bring payloads deep into space.

Plenty of companies are interested in developing or have already developed their own heavy-lift rockets, in the hopes that industry players and nations will want to buy rides to orbit or beyond aboard their launchers.  Read more…

Lucy the lobster — a good lobster — burst forth from the ocean today to tell Nova Scotians how much more winter they should expect. Lucy did not see her shadow, which means there will not be six more weeks of winter.
