There are a lot of bad superhero costumes out there. This is not one of them. 

Warner Brothers has released a first look at Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, a.k.a. Robin, in DC’s upcoming Titans show.  

And this look … isn’t awful?

Titans will feature Robin as the head of a team of upcoming heroes. They come from all walks of the DC universe and deal with fighting crime, while also handling the trials of young adulthood. 

Past members have included Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, and Cyborg — freshly famous from Justice League. 

There have been comics and TV shows that follow this team, but now they’re getting their own show on DC’s yet-to-be-named streaming service some time next year. Read more…

There’s nothing quite as enjoyable as watching bad TV person Piers Morgan embarrass himself in front of thousands of people on live TV.

Getting into the holiday spirit, Morgan attempted to help turn on the Christmas lights in Stockbridge, United Kingdom, on Friday using one of those cartoon-like dynamite plungers. 

“They’re expecting Beatlemania style scenes so get there early,’ Morgan said in a tweet. Yes, he compared his clout to The Bealtes.

In a powerful open letter to the video game industry, a 19-year-old gambling addict gave a first-hand account of how in-game microtransactions and loot boxes can tempt young players into spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars for content.

Reddit user Kensgold, who asked us not to use his real name, shared his story on Reddit in November. 

The post, aimed at the developers and publishers of Star Wars Battlefront II — and all other companies in the industry — explained how, at the age of 14, he spent well over $10,000 over the course of a few years thanks to microtransactions and, admittedly, his own addiction to gambling. Read more…

Jupiter seems to be a nice fit. 

The giant planet’s roiling clouds, churning in its northern hemisphere, make it look like a peaceful Van Gogh painting in this newly-released photo taken by NASA’s Juno spacecraft. 

“The Juno spacecraft captured this image when the spacecraft was only 11,747 miles (18,906 kilometers) from the tops of Jupiter’s clouds — that’s roughly as far as the distance between New York City and Perth, Australia,” NASA said in a statement about the image taken on October 24.  Read more…
