Hillary Clinton defends the Trump dossier on 'The Daily Show'

Hillary Clinton tried to shut down conservative critics on The Daily Show. 

Sitting down with Trevor Noah on Wednesday night, Clinton addressed criticism over her campaign’s decision to fund the “Steele dossier” (of “pee tape” fame) put together by research firm Fusion GPS. Clinton pointed out that the research was first paid for by a conservative website. 

“This was research started by a Republican donor during the Republican primary,” she said, “and then when Trump got the nomination for the Republican Party, the people doing it came to my campaign lawyer and said, ‘Would you like us to continue it?’ and he said yes.” Read more…
