McDonald’s Rick and Morty-inspired Szechuan Sauce Disaster of 2017 — in which McDonald’s failed to live up to the demands of Rick and Morty fans — sparked a lot of outrage from fans over the no-doubt mediocre dipping sauce. Customers were on the brink of rioting once they realized their local store had run out of the sauce originally created to promote the Mulan movie.
