January 6, 2018No matter what Gwyneth Paltrow’s dubious health website tells you, please talk to your doctor before shooting coffee into your colon.
In an article titled “The Nuts and Bolts of Colonics,” Goop writer Dr. Alejandro Junger suggests a specific brand of enema device for people who want to use a home system and know what they’re doing. Goop links out to the device which immediately advertises itself as “a clean way to do coffee enemas” for the low low price of $135.
If you don’t know what an enema is, it’s a procedure (usually performed by doctors) to clean out someone’s colon by injecting fluid up their butt. The product linked in Goop’s article claims to work well with coffee, and also claims that shooting coffee into your colon is good for your liver, removes “toxins,” and relieves depression, confusion(?), allergy symptoms, and severe pain. Pete Souza, the former photographer for the Obama White House who has become one of the internet’s foremost Trump shade-throwers, had the perfect reaction to the tweets:
In a three-tweet thread on Saturday morning, the 45th President of the United States decried the fact that people were questioning his mental stability and intelligence, claiming that he was, in fact, mentally stable and smart. Trump’s tweets likely had something to do with the recently released book Fire and Fury by Michael Wolff, which contains a handful of bombshell quotes and anecdotes from those arrayed around the president, including some from his inner circle. Just one person from Florida gets to claim a $450 million lottery jackpot. Is it you?
A 7-Eleven in Port Richey, Florida sold the winning ticket, bearing the numbers 28, 30, 39, 59, and 70, and then 10 for the Mega Ball, Mega Millions announced. A lump-sum cash payout for the lucky winner would come out to $281.2 million.
The jackpot winner, who has yet to be identified, gets the entire jackpot but they’re not the only one who gets a prize. The 7-Eleven that sold the ticket also gets $100,000, and some lottery players won prizes for matching some but not all of the numbers. Read more…
