Google is plugging some handy new add-ons directly into Gmail

Gmail is getting some brand new enterprise tools so users can get work done without even leaving their inboxes.

Google announced today it will introduce new Gmail add-ons for a slew of work productivity apps, including Trello, Asana, DocuSign, Intuit Quickbooks and Wrike. The apps work natively within Gmail, meaning that you won’t have to leave your inbox to get any work done.  

These add-ons are mostly aimed at business users looking to delegate tasks throughout their organizations or with freelancers — but everyday users might find some use for the new extensions, too. The add-ons are similar to functionality already available to other G Suite tools like Slides, Forms, Docs, and Sheets, keeping users within the Google ecosystem instead of forcing them to bounce between apps.  Read more…
