Trump shocks world with measured response to Las Vegas massacre

The morning after a shooter opened fire at a concert in Las Vegas, killing at least 50 and wounding hundreds more, President Donald Trump began to read from a teleprompter. 

The president praised law enforcement, saying that “in moments of tragedy and horror, America comes together as one.” 

It was all pretty cookie-cutter, especially considering how the nation and the world has learned to hold its breath at such moments. After all, Trump has proven to be a man capable of saying jaw-dropping things at any moment, behind a podium or not.  Read more…
