Would you be tempted to let Star Wars film in your back garden? Queen Elizabeth II wouldn’t.
Her Majesty’s estate turned down a request a few years ago to film Star Wars scenes at Windsor Great Park, according to the BBC. While we would jump at the chance to watch BB-8 roll through our yard, the Crown’s reasons actually make sense.
The park is no stranger to being used or filming. But during a recent interview about the park being used to film Goodbye Christopher Robin — a film about the author behind Winnie the Pooh — an estate spokesperson told the BBC the park had previously turned down Star Wars when they asked to be able to film in the park.
