Deposed PM Nawaz Sharif will be indicted by an accountability court hearing the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) references against him on Monday.
According to Express News, strict security steps have been taken by the law enforcement agencies for the former premier’s appearance before the court.
Nawaz had briefly appeared before the court on September 26, a day after returning from London where his wife is undergoing treatment for lymphoma.
The ousted PM and his family face three corruption references filed against them by NAB on the orders of the apex court, which had disqualified Nawaz in its July 28 Panama Papers verdict.

The references pertain to London’s Avenfield flats, Flagship Investment Limited and 15 other companies as well as al-Azizia Company Limited and Hill Metals Establishment.
Last week, Senate passed the election reforms bill with an amendment, paving the way for Nawaz’s elevation as party president. Given the PML-N majority, the bill is likely to have an easy sailing in the National Assembly on Monday.
