Watch this baseball player catch a bird mid-flight

This clip from a baseball game has a twist that rivals The Sixth Sense, Memento, and Fight Club combined. 

Local station WMBD shared a clip, filmed by their sports broadcaster Kurt Pegler, that captures the exact moment when Jesus Cruz, a pitcher for the Peoria Chiefs, nonchalantly caught a bird mid-flight. 

How did he manage to catch the creature? Who can say, but it probably didn’t hurt that he professionally catches and throws things for a living.
