An animated Star Wars series is coming to your TV — featuring the voice of Oscar Isaac

A new anime-style Star Wars series will fill in the gaps between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. In addition to introducing new characters – like Resistance pilot Kazuda Xiono – it’ll also include familiar faces like Poe Dameron, Captain Phasma, and BB-8.

“Our colleagues at Lucasfilm have created a compelling narrative for an untold moment in the Star Wars galaxy, and we are excited to partner with them again on this new original series,” Disney XD’s senior vice president, programming and general manager Marc Buhaj said in a press release. “Star Wars Resistance will bring viewers across generations an engaging story with heart, humor and both new and familiar characters.” Read more…
