Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's love story will be chronicled in a Lifetime movie

The Crown may get there eventually, but Lifetime is looking to do it first.

The cable network announced Harry & Meghan: The Royal Love Story on Sunday during the annual Television Critics Association press tour. As the title suggests, the movie will chart one of the most headline-grabbing romances of the modern era: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The TV movie is currently in development and casting is underway, so there’s not much detail to share yet. Lifetime confirmed that Menhaj Huda will direct the film. Huda has some experience in dramatized UK royal stories, having helmed an episode of E!’s The Royals last year. Read more…
