Harvey Weinstein was banned for life by the Producers Guild of America

Harvey Weinstein was banned for life by the Producers Guild of America after a new round of sexual assault allegations.

Following weeks of accusations against Weinstein, and his subsequent expulsion from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Guild’s National Board of Directors “voted unanimously” to begin the process of terminating Weinstein’s membership.

Now, the Guild has issued a lifetime ban on Weinstein, announced in a statement on Monday.

According to the PGA constitution, members are given 15 days notice before any action is taken. Weinstein had the chance to respond before the board made its final decision on Nov. 6.  Read more…
