Two commit suicide in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: Two men committed suicide in different incidents in Faisalabad.

A police official said that 27-year-old Sharjeel Younus, a resident of Negehban Pura, consumed poisonous pills after he suffered loss in his business. He was rushed to a local hospital but he could not survive.

In another incident, Tariq Aziz, a resident of Thikriwala, also consumed poisonous pills after quarreling with his family members over a domestic dispute. He was rushed to Allied Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, two officials of the Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) had been suspended on poor performance. A spokesman said that Wasa MD visited Mannanwala well field area and found water leaking from a tube well.  The MD suspended pump operator Kashif Aslam. The MD also suspended Bill Distributor Javaid Masih after receiving a number of complaints against him.
