Farooq Amjad Meer resigns from PTI

LAHORE: Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) former president Farooq Amjad Meer announced to dissociate himself from the party.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, Meer highlighted that he was unhappy over the party politics.

“Despite repeated attempts, I failed to get a single appointment to meet the party chairman in two years and I don’t have that much resource, like others in the party, to finance the political agenda of the PTI. I have resigned from the party and decided to establish a think tank that will work for positive image building of the country,” he underlined.

Right now, everyone was trying to talk about personalities but no one was speaking on Pakistan, he said.

PTI’s Naz Baloch jumps ship, joins PPP

“I have not yet decided to join any other political party but have plans to establish an independent think tank for a brighter future of the country,” he added.
