'Mean Girls' film cast uses Oct. 3 to raise money for victims of mass shooting

For some people, Oct. 3 is just another day of the year (or your cousin’s birthday — hi buddy, this counts as a present!), but the indelible legacy of Mean Girls means that today is so much more than any other day.

It’s October 3. 

To harness fans’ resurgent interest in Mean Girls on Tuesday, the cast started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for victims affected by mass shootings like the one that devastated Las Vegas Sunday night.
